Core Thesis Two-sleeve trend-following strategy designed for survival-first execution. Capital deployed across two independent sleeves based on available momentum signal quality. Sleeve 1: Crypto Longs (Primary Alpha) Eligible assets: BTC, ETH, SOL perpetuals Direction constraint: LONG-ONLY. Never short crypto under any condition, regardless of macro regime or funding rates. Signal: Vol-adjusted momentum — compute rate of return over trailing lookback divided by realized volatility over same window. Positive value → go long, zero or negative → flat. Allocation: Inverse-volatility weight across BTC, ETH, SOL so each asset contributes roughly equal portfolio volatility. Sleeve 2: Complement (Diversification / Smoothing) Eligible assets: xyz:GOLD, xyz:SILVER, xyz:JPY (HIP-3) Direction: Neutral — can go long or short based on simple momentum (rate of change over comparable lookback window). Positive → long, negative → short. Allocation: Inverse-volatility weight across the three HIP-3 assets. Target: Lower vol budget than crypto sleeve. Designed to smooth returns and capture alpha when crypto momentum is flat or choppy. Global RSI Overlay (Sizing & Management — ALL ASSETS) Apply 1-hour RSI to position sizing and management for all assets in both sleeves. Does NOT change directional bias. Initial Entry Sizing Long entries when 1h RSI < 50 (pullbacks/dips): Size aggressively up to allocation target. Long entries when 1h RSI 50–70 (normal range): Size normally (50–80% of target). Long entries when 1h RSI > 70 (stretched/strong trends): Size conservatively (20–30% of target) initially. Position Management (Trimming & Rebuilding) Trimming: If holding a position and 1h RSI spikes above 70, trim to roughly half of intended size. Lock in partial profits. Rebuilding (The "Blast-and-Pullback" Rule): If an asset made a sharp move higher ("top blast") while the higher timeframe trend remained intact and we trimmed it due to high RSI, wait for price to retrace and 1h RSI to settle back toward the 45–50 zone. Use this pullback as a re-entry point to slowly restore full position size rather than chasing the initial breakout again. Never flatten a trend trade solely because RSI is stretched. Hard Risk Controls Stop losses mandatory on all positions. Set at nearest swing low (for longs) or swing high (for shorts in complement sleeve). Respect vol budget allocations between sleeves. Do not exceed total portfolio risk limits.
