Choose an AI trading platform, not just a model

The model is one part of a trading agent. Data access, instructions, execution permissions, policy checks and decision records determine what the complete system can do. DXAP combines these in a hosted Hyperliquid platform.

Ask what surrounds the model

A model name does not tell you which market data is available, whether the software can execute, or who checks an action. Compare the platform’s account connection, available tools and operational responsibilities. A conversational assistant without trading authority is a different setup from a running agent.

Keep controls independent of model choice

DXAP lets users choose from the available model catalog while retaining the platform’s policy and record framework. Check the current in-product catalog rather than assuming every model mentioned in a research paper or another assistant is available. A change of model does not remove the need to review instructions and limits.

Compare decisions under a consistent task

When evaluating model behavior, use the same strategy and inspect how each explains action or inaction. Different dates and market conditions can overwhelm a superficial comparison. Avoid attributing a platform difference to the model alone when tools, context or execution paths also differ.

Put it into practice

Selection checklist: what data can it read; what can it execute; where are limits checked; who hosts it; what record remains; what does it cost; which models are currently offered? Answer these before choosing by model brand.

Questions about this workflow

Can I assume a ChatGPT or Claude integration is a trading agent?

No. An integration may provide research or strategy authoring without ongoing trading decisions. Inspect the actual execution and hosting workflow.

Does DXAP charge separately for model usage?

No. DXAP’s charge is 2.5 bps on executed agent volume, without a separate model bill or subscription.
