Trading-agent costs: fees, funding and turnover
Budget for platform fees, venue execution fees, perpetual funding and the difference between intended and actual execution prices. DXAP’s 2.5 bps charge is one component of the cost of running an agent on Hyperliquid.

Account balance is not trading volume
A small account can generate substantial volume through repeated entries and exits. Calculate DXAP fees from filled notional volume, not the amount deposited. At 0.025%, $20,000 of combined entry and exit volume incurs $5 in DXAP fees before venue costs.
Funding belongs to the position
Perpetual funding is separate from a platform subscription or trading fee. It can change while a position remains open. A pause in automation does not automatically remove the position, so include funding exposure when deciding how to stop or adjust a strategy.
Review the net result
Compare starting and ending account value with deposits and withdrawals accounted for. Include all executed trades and costs over the same interval. A gross winning trade can contribute less than expected after turnover and execution costs; a fee example is not a forecast of strategy returns.
Put it into practice
Review worksheet: total entry volume; total exit volume; DXAP fee; venue fees; funding paid or received; deposits and withdrawals; remaining open exposure. Keep each line separate before interpreting the result.
Questions about this workflow
Is the DXAP fee charged only once per round trip?
No. It applies to executed volume. Both an entry and its exit contribute volume.
Does no subscription mean no cost while holding a position?
DXAP does not charge a subscription, but an open position can still have venue funding exposure and will incur execution costs when traded.
